Amare in Spijkerkwartier, Oosterbeek and Renkum
At Amare you can choose between two types of pregnancy guidance: Amare Individual and Amare Group. Unfortunately, we are currently unable to run groups due to a lack of participants. If you are interested, please let us know!
Amare Individual
If you prefer to come for check-ups alone (with your partner) during your pregnancy, you can opt for individual guidance.
Amare Group
If you would like to meet other pregnant women, you can choose group guidance. One of our midwives will guide these group sessions. The medical check-ups and ultrasounds are of course individual.
You can prepare yourself well for a pregnancy. We can give you advice about this.
Have you not been able to get pregnant naturally so far? You can also talk to us about this. See the section on wanting children for more information about this!
If you opt for our individual guidance, only you and your partner will come to us for a check-up. We think it is important that we see you regularly during your pregnancy. During a check-up, we would like to hear how you are doing. We measure your blood pressure and listen to your baby's heartbeat. During some check-ups, we also make an ultrasound. We give you information that is important at each check-up. Of course, we also discuss your wishes regarding the delivery. And would you like to come and listen to your baby's heartbeat once more? Of course that is possible.
Every pregnancy is different. Whether you are pregnant for the first time or already have children, there is a lot to deal with. It is a beautiful and special time, but it can also be exciting. We understand that all too well. That is why it is nice if you can share this with other pregnant women. We can start a group if we have at least 6-8 participants.
If you choose our group guidance, you will get to know women who are about as far along in their pregnancy as you are. You will meet nine times. We will guide these meetings. In addition to the space to share experiences and listen to each other, we will also provide you with information that is important to you at that time. Of course, the medical check-ups and ultrasounds are individual.
· Nine meetings with women who are approximately as far along in their pregnancy as you are
· We facilitate these meetings
· We mainly discuss what is important to you at that moment
· Each meeting has its own theme, so everything is covered
· Medical check-ups and ultrasounds are individual
Why group guidance?
Group guidance is becoming increasingly popular. We see how nice it is for pregnant women to be able to share experiences with each other. You learn from each other and you can give each other advice. We also see that women often continue to follow each other after their pregnancy. That is not only fun, but also valuable. Motherhood is the most beautiful thing there is, but also the most difficult. That is why group guidance offers you the opportunity to find your group. During your pregnancy and afterwards.
Are you curious about what tests can be done during pregnancy? Perhaps you want to know more about the health of your child.
During pregnancy, you may use prenatal screening. These are examinations that can look for possible abnormalities in the baby. The result does not provide a 100% certain result, but can be a reason for further investigation. At the moment, you can choose between the NIPT, 13-week ultrasound and the 20-week ultrasound. During the counseling interview, we will go into this in more detail so that you can make a good choice, if you want to. To prepare, read the websites below: NIPT: https://www.pns.nl/nipt
13-week ultrasound: https://www.pns.nl/13-wekenecho
20-week ultrasound: https://www.pns.nl/20-wekenecho
At Amare we work with four midwives: Dagmar, Meyke, Simone and Jolanda. Because we are a small team, we can get to know you (and your partner) well.
You will receive the care that suits you. We find everything about being pregnant and becoming parents important. We like to take the time for that.
You decide which pregnancy support suits you best. And you also decide how and where you would like to give birth. At home, in the bath or in the hospital: we support your choice.
